November 2011 we were at Altrincham Market for the build up to the Christmas Lights Switch on. James, Anne, Penny and Peter all took to the decks and braved the not too cold weather.
we provided the musical entertainment at the
Free Mason's Summer Fete and Charity fund raising event.
It rained all day and no one wanted to leave the tent to take photos!
In the Summer of 2010 we were at the Atrincham Festival Show and were vistied by the Mayor and Mayoress of Trafford
In July 2012 we were also at The Altrincham Festival Show in Timperley. In those days we were still known as North Cheshire Radio, and Promotions Crew members didn't seem to be the slightest bit bothered by the fact that a Viking Battle was in full force alongside them most of the afternoon!
Altrincham Festival Show 2013
They had a stunt show and this happened right next us
I think we should have been playing Alicia Keys....
......"This girl is on fire"
Well done Mrs Stannage and your family stunt team
Hmmm....James left alone stuck between the fresh fish stall and the public loos. Hardly the best spot to draw the big crowds!
Trafford Sound was originally known as North Cheshire Radio, before we decided that it would be possible to cover the whole of the borough, and not just the area south of the Mersey. Our research and social media activities showed a lot of support from places such as Urmston, Stretford, Flixton Old Trafford and Gorse Hill.
It took over 6 years to establish the service, following problems finding a base for studios and finding sufficient funding. During this time as North Cheshire Radio we got involved with the community and attended various events to let everyone know about our plans.
